Your Company Name Is Not Just About Marketing
Your Company Name Is Not Just About Marketing
When someone chooses a company name, they almost always do it with the market in mind: that it be memorable, that it can be pronounced in two languages, that the domain is available. All of that matters. But there is a layer that almost always gets skipped, and it is that a name is also a number.
Numerology reduces any word to a single digit, and that digit has a behavior and an energy: some numbers push toward rapid growth, others sustain structure, others favor partnership, and others call for more caution with debt. It is not an exact science, but it is a pattern that repeats with enough consistency to be taken into account. There is no "bad" number. There are numbers that fit better with what that company needs to do, and others that force it to swim against the current from day one.
For example: a name that reduces to an 8 tends to favor growth and financial solidity; one that reduces to a 5 pushes more toward change and constant innovation. Neither is better than the other — but it is worth knowing which one your brand carries before registering it, not after.
The same goes for the incorporation date and the launch date: they also translate into a number, and that number enters into dialogue with the name's. Sometimes they reinforce each other. Sometimes they contradict each other. And sometimes the name you like most is exactly the one that suits what that company wants to achieve the least, or the other way around: a name that sounded "odd" turns out to be the one that best sustains the project.
This is not a creative veto. I am not going to tell you to discard the name that excites you. I am going to tell you what that name carries, so you choose it with that information and not without it, and so that if you have two or three finalists, you know which one plays in your favor before paying for the registration.

I review this together with the cycles of the moment and, where it applies, the feng shui of the space, within the Specific Decision: the package designed for anyone about to form a company, launch a new product or make a major commercial change, who wants to choose the name, the date, the timing and the environment well before signing anything. If you have not yet registered the name or made any change or launch, this is the moment to review it, not afterwards. If you like, I can be your Holistic Consultant on call before you make big financial decisions.
